How the result works
A screenshot can only preserve the pixels rendered on the screen when it was captured. This checker measures source dimensions, visible edge detail, tonal contrast and possible block compression. It cannot identify every edit or prove where a file came from, but it can reveal the main technical limits before you enhance or share the image.

Can this tell whether a screenshot was resized?
It can flag small dimensions and possible compression, but a cropped screenshot may also be small, so the result is guidance rather than proof.
Can a low-quality screenshot be improved?
Mild softness and compression may improve in an iPhone enhancement app, but missing pixels and exact unreadable text cannot be recovered reliably.
